Sealing a partnership that is becoming increasingly important, Iran showcases its technological innovations in defense at the Army 2024 exhibition held in Moscow. Amid the rivalry between the East and the West, Iran's presence is significant as it confidently reveals previously discreet equipment on friendly territory. These include radars, anti-aircraft systems, and drones. A focus today is on the Mojaher 10 drone, a low-cost product displayed at the International Military-Technical Forum Army 2024 at Patriot Park, outside the Russian capital.

The Mohajer-10 (Immigrant-10) drone, with an operational range of 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles) and a flight endurance capacity of 24 hours, was presented at the International Military-Technical Forum Army 2024 at Patriot Park outside Moscow. Observations reveal its relatively limited payload capabilities, notably including air-to-ground and also air-to-air capabilities, with the installation of two missiles on each wing typical of air-to-air engagements. The presence of this new-generation Iranian drone is not surprising, considering that older versions of the Mojaher drone were reportedly provided to Russia for combat operations in Ukraine. It is believed that the Mojaher 6 has been delivered for about six months and is being used in bombings.

The Mojaher 10 was unveiled at a large ceremony attended by Brigadier General Ali Shadmani, the deputy coordinator of the central headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya, the Iranian ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, and several other senior Iranian military officials. During this ceremony, officials repeatedly emphasized that the country would not hesitate to enhance its military capabilities, including its missile power, which is strictly for defense purposes. They asserted that Iran’s defense capabilities would never be a subject of negotiations. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has repeatedly called for efforts to maintain and boost Iran's defense capabilities, countering those who challenge the country’s missile program.

In recent years, Iranian military engineers and technicians have made significant advances in producing a wide range of domestic equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the field of armaments. These home-made innovations are now being revealed to the world at the forum, indicating a clear intent to demonstrate Iranian military strength, resonating with the geopolitical currents of the region. Advanced Iranian air defense and radar systems were also unveiled for the first time at the exhibition, which took place from August 12 to 14. Other Iranian products showcased include electronic warfare (EW) systems, airborne and maritime missile defense systems, ballistic missiles, and batteries for industrial and military applications.
