EOS and EODH Partner to Enhance Greek Defense Autonomy Through Local Production of Remote Weapon Systems.

At the 2025 edition of the DEFEA defense exhibition in Athens, EOS Defence Systems and the Greek company EODH officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate on the local assembly of Remote Weapon Systems (RWS) in Greece. This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening sovereign industrial capabilities and reflects a shared intention to deepen defense cooperation in Southeastern Europe.

Under the terms of the agreement, EODH will oversee the local assembly of EOS-developed RWS for integration into future Greek defense programs. The collaboration aims to provide the Hellenic Armed Forces with proven solutions while supporting local industry and contributing to employment within the defense sector. With recognized expertise in advanced protection systems, vehicle upgrades, and survivability technologies, EODH brings a detailed understanding of Greece's operational and industrial landscape, along with established manufacturing know-how.

Headquartered in Australia, EOS is a key player in the field of remote weapon systems, having delivered over 2,500 units worldwide. Its systems are in service with the armed forces of countries including Australia, the United States, several nations in the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia. Known for their reliability and precision, EOS’s RWS provides enhanced firepower and protection across a broad spectrum of missions, from close-range defense to tactical support at standoff distances.

EOS will continue to supply core technologies, provide engineering support, and ensure system integration as part of this cooperation, working closely with EODH to meet local requirements. The joint objective is to offer the Greek armed forces capabilities suited to operational needs while promoting national industrial autonomy.

Beyond this initiative, the two companies intend to explore additional opportunities in the field of armored vehicle upgrades, both in Greece and across Europe. This ambition relies on the complementary strengths of the two firms: EOS’s expertise in weapons and sensor integration and EODH’s longstanding experience in platform protection.

Christian Tobergte, Executive Vice President of EOS Defence Systems (International), emphasized that this cooperation reflects EOS’s commitment to working with reliable local partners to deliver tailored capabilities to European forces. He added that the partnership also reinforces sovereign defense capacity in a strategically important region. Andreas Mitsis, CEO of EODH, welcomed the collaboration with a recognized technology partner such as EOS, noting that the agreement would enable EODH to manufacture in its own facilities the full range of advanced solutions from EOS Australia’s portfolio. These systems, he stated, would be offered to enhance the firepower and combat effectiveness of both existing and new platforms, not only in Greece but also in Cyprus and other allied countries.

This agreement highlights the joint commitment of EOS and EODH to delivering effective defense capabilities through sovereign industrial partnerships. It paves the way for greater integration between proven international technologies and regional industrial expertise, with the ultimate goal of strengthening the operational capabilities of European forces in a constantly evolving security environment.
