Easy
Rescue, a new innovative wounded soldier transfer system
in the battlefield. |

|
At
ISDEF 2010, an Israeli Company presents a new innovative
transfer system for wounded soldiers in the battlefield,
"Easy Rescue". For consistent successful evacuation
of injured or disabled personnel, deployed units require
the appropriate tools and equipment. Put the BUDDY, a
lightweight, easy-to-use alternative to conventional evac
tools, in their packs and medical/evac kits. Being prepared
for the immediate evacuation of injured or disabled personnel
is a critical aspect of any mission. Whether on a designated
rescue mission, or dealing with the unexpected, using
the BUDDY in an evac or medical team’s pack can
make all the difference between mission success and disaster.

When
the job is to evacuate injured personnel, no matter where
they are, the BUDDY does the job.
Stretchers and gurneys are still the best way to carry
people who are unconscious or have back, spine or neck
injuries. In the field this would require that the force
size is large enough and appropriate access is available.
Manufacturers have offered different ways of folding this
heavy equipment. Yet once deployed, and loaded with personnel,
lifting and evacuation out of deep ravines, narrow caves,
steep and rocky footpaths, or high cliffs, will require
additional resources. In short, field conditions may not
be conducive to apply these conventional methods. The
BUDDY however is suitable for the many types of injuries
not requiring a stretcher. Simply unpack it, load the
personnel, and go.

Unique
Construction and Design
Made of durable lightweight fabric and sturdy plastic, the
BUDDY was created by individuals with extensive experience
in the civilian and military medical field. Field experience,
first hand, in the frustration of not being able to get
injured personnel to an evac unit fast enough, led to the
creation of the BUDDY.
