According to him, this long range missile
system, developed by specialists of the national military
complex is at the final stage of construction and ready
for the final firing test.
“In a short time, we will proceed to the first
firing and I hope to be able to announce good news concerning
the Iranian equivalent of S-300 Russian”, indicated
the spokesperson.
In 2007, Teheran and Moscow signed a contract of an amount
of approximately 800 million dollars relating to the deliveries
in Iran of five divisions of S-300 PMU-1 missiles.
Russian president Dmitri Medvedev published Wednesday,
September 22 a decree prohibiting the delivery of ground-to-air
missiles S-300 in Iran, pursuant to the sanctions taken
last June by the Security Council of UN, imposing restrictions
for the supply of conventional weapons to Teheran, including
missiles, tanks, combat helicopters, combat aircrafts
and vessels.
