American Company Lockheed Martin markets a drone helicopter intended to supply the American soldiers in Afghanistan, announced this 27 August 2010 by some European media. The UAV baptized Kaman K-MAX can transport a charge of 1,300 kg. It will be used to forward foods and ammunition to the bases deployed in the “hot spots”. Ordered remotely using a laptop or conduit by a pilot installed inside the cockpit, the helicopter can be used in any weather condition. Its maximum speed in load is of 147 km/h. The representatives of Lockheed Martin did not say the exact date of entry of this drone helicopter in service, but however indicated that in the event of success of the tests, it would make his appearance in Afghanistan at the end of 2011.
