Exhibition
of state-of-the-art military equipment
and armaments, the Polish Shield,
V4, and dynamic presentations
constitute only small part of
the programme of the 17th International
Defence Industry Exhibition, which
ended on 3 September in Kielce.
The
difficult situation resulting
from a fire which broke out in
one of the exhibition halls the
day before the opening did not
prevent the organization of this
exhibition. Full commitment of
Targi Kielce employees and exhibitors
made it possible to construct
again exhibition stands of those
who had suffered damage. Almost
13,000 visitors, more than 300
exhibitors representing the defence
industry in 25 countries used
20,000 square metres of exhibition
space for showing their products.
The defence industry exhibition
held in Kielce has become Central
Europe's most significant fair
event of this kind, being the
third largest on the Old Continent.
MSPO annually features not only
the latest achievements in the
defence industry, but also technologies
and systems applied in fields
such as logistics, security and
rescue. Kielce hosted global corporations
situated at the top of the world’s
giants list: BAE Systems, Boeing,
MBDA, Raytheon, and Thales. Many
new products were prepared by
the Polish defence company –
Bumar Group, with the whole Pavilion
C being used for displaying programmes
that this company is implementing.
What was shown here was Bumar's
technologies offering the largest
potential for future development
and utilization, such as equipment
and armaments to be used by the
Polish soldier of the future,
with a real hit – a ground
based air defence system, the
informally called Polish Shield.

Kingdom country guest MSPO 2010:
UK Defence Ministry has confirmed
its participation in the International
Defence Industry Exhibition to be
held at Targi Kielce,” announced
president of the management board
of Targi Kielce, Andrzej Mochon.
Thus, the MSPO fair to be held in
September will include an exhibition
of the military potential of the
British Armed Forces.
The British Armed Forces have their
bases in the United Kingdom and
in the Overseas Territories. Their
task is to protect the United Kingdom
and provide support to peace-keeping
missions in the world. They actively
participate in NATO operations.
The
Kielce defence industry exhibition
has become the leading event of
this kind in Central Europe, being
the third largest one on the Old
Continent. Each year, MSPO features
not only the latest achievements
in the field of defence products,
but also technologies and systems
applied in fields such as logistics,
security, and rescue.
Almost 13,000 visitors and more
than 300 exhibitors representing
defence industries of 25 countries

of exhibition space to display their
products and services during the
previous defence industry exhibition.

of Poland to attend the ceremony of
opening the exhibition hall rebuilt
after a fire |
A
year after the fire which the day
before the opening of the International
Defence Industry Exhibition, 30th
August 2009, consumed one of the
halls of Targi Kielce, this facility
of the Kielce fair organizer, having
been rebuilt, will be officially
put into use. It will provide the
venue for the 18th International
Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO).
Participation in the opening ceremony
to be held on 6th September has
been confirmed by President of the
Republic of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowski,
and Minister of National Defence,
Bogdan Klich. The honourable guests
will watch a unique dynamic demonstration,
the first show of this kind ever
to be held in Poland, performed
by the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanized

demonstrations prepared by Polish
soldiers |
The
official opening of the International
Defence Industry Exhibition to be
held on 6th September 2010 will
be attended by high ranking military
people representing Poland and other
countries. On this day, Targi Kielce
will also be visited by the Polish
Minister of Defence, Bogdan Klich,
who has provided honorary patronage
of this exhibition.
To follow the tradition, on the
first day of this fair, visitors
will have an opportunity to see
a unique dynamic presentation. This
year it will be prepared by soldiers
of the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanized
Brigade.
