A Russian tactical missile SS-21 Scarab Tochka-U was successfully fired during military manoeuvres

A tactical missile 9K79 Tochka-U (NATO CODE : SS-21 Scarab) was successfully fired Monday as part of the Russian military manoeuvres in the territory of Primorye (Far East), announced to RIA Novosti the spokesman of the Chief of Military Region East.

The manoeuvres began September 14. Nearly 200 soldiers and more than 60 units of equipment are involved.

The Tochka-U tactical missiles are solid fuel with a range of 120 km. They can be equipped with nuclear warheads or other munitions. They are able to reach targets such as airfields, military bases, radar stations and fuel depots.
