Detailing latest design initiatives, and
emphasising the importance of integration, Aero Sekur
President Ing. Silvio Rossignoli said:
“Clothing and apparel need to be part of a total
ground defence offer. Individual elements have to meet
specific requirements and these have to work effectively
as part of a complete solution. Following this integrated
ethos, one Aero Sekur R&D initiative in development
is a lightweight, low cost gas alarm incorporated into
our suit to alert the wearer to an NBC attack. And, responding
to demand for product suites, we are trialing technology
to embed sensors into combat apparel materials.
“Work is ongoing at Aero Sekur in
the application of flexible composite materials to optimise
our range, enhance our integrated offer and ensure we
stay at the forefront of flexible material innovations
for defence apparel.”
Aero Sekur’s skills in design with
advanced materials are established with products including
a lightweight NBC suit offering flame/tear resistance
and greater permeability for wearer comfort. The suit
can be washed a number of times without impairing its
high levels of protection.
