Armenian
armed forces fired on the positions of Azerbaijani Army
in uplands of Azerbaijan’s Gadabey region from the
uplands of Armenia’s Krasnoselsk region at 17.35-17.50
on June 5.

They
also fired on the positions of Azerbaijani Army from the
occupied areas near Javahirli and Garagashli villages
of Azerbaijan’s Aghdam region at 01.00-01.15 and
01.30-01.40 on June 6.
Press
service of the Defense Ministry told APA the enemy was silenced
with reprisal fire.
The two southern Caucasus countries fought a six-year war
over the territory which broke away from Muslim Azerbaijan
with the help of Christian Armenia during the collapse of
the Soviet Union. The mountainous territory, and considerable
lands around it, were wrested entirely from Baku's control.
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev, who
has ramped up his country's military power with recent
arms deals, has said Azerbaijan is willing to go to war
with Armenia to reclaim Nagorno-Karabakh.
