German government has offered second hand anti-aicraft gun Gepard 35mm to the Brazilian army.
The German government offered to the Brazilian Army second hand self-propelled anti-aircraft gun Gepard 35mm, recently refurbished by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann - KMW. A contract that would include spare parts, technical support, training, technology transfer and nationalization of KWM items through Brazil.

This contract includes 36 Gepard vehicles with tools, training systems, simulators, and a large stock of ammunition.

The Gepard is a heavily armoured, autonomous and mobile air defence system based on the chassis of the Leopard 1 main battle tank. The Gepard anti-aircraft tank was manufactured by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW), based in Munchen, Germany.

The German Army with the company KMW performed a demonstration of the capabilities of the Gepard FlakPz last October 20 during the Brazilian air defence military exercise "O SOL É CZA III", at the training area of the Brazilian army, in the region of Pedra de Fogo.
