CMN presents new Stealth Ship Concept at IDEX 2011

The Combattante 65S is 65 meters in length and has been designed for intelligence gathering and special forces operations.

Its design has been focused on stealth. Therefore most sensors can be found in the integrated mast called Cmast. The Cmast is designed by Cassidian while other subcontractors include Chelton Cobam and Ineo Defense.

At IDEX 2011 French shipbuilder CMN is presenting for the first time a new stealth corvette concept, the Combattante 65S.

3D Radar, radar and radio interceptors, IRST by Thales can be found inside the Cmast .

The Combattante 65S typical weapon load would include a stealth 57mm cannon by Bofors and 8 Mica VL by MBDA.

The Combattante 65S is a concept and still in study process.
