IDET 2011 International exhibition of Defence and Security
Technologies begins. |
|
|
|
On
Tuesday 10 May the gates of the 11th International Exhibition
of Defence and Security Technologies IDET opens in Brno,
one of four majors shows of defence in Europe. Just two
days later, the 15th International Fair for Fire and Security
Technology and Services PYROS / ISET begins, and the exhibition
will remain open during the Saturday 14 May, when they are
open to general public. A partial overlap of the exhibitions’
dates responds to current trends in integration and close
cooperation of defence and security structures. The new
concept offers a comprehensive overview of the whole sphere
of military and civilian security as well as the current
technologies. This year's key themes include cooperation
in the fight against international terrorism, army deployment
in natural and industrial disasters and civil protection
against current risks.

The
international importance of the two fairs is demonstrated
by the great interest of foreign partners. IDET 2011 is
an offer of 369 exhibitors from 26 countries across three
continents. Another 179 companies from 21 countries on
four continents participate in PYROS / ISET 2011. The
national composition of visitors is equally varied - specialists
and official military delegations, who accepted the prior
invitation of the Ministry of Defence and who will particularly
visit the stands of domestic exhibitors. Participation
has already been confirmed by delegations from Albania,
Italy, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia,
Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Brazil, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates,
Montenegro, Armenia, China, Mongolia, Ghana, Iraq, Malaysia
, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine. These VIP visitors from countries
of commercial interest for the Central European defence
industry confirmed the importance of IDET export promotion
and its leading position in the new area of ??the North
Atlantic Alliance. Organizers expect that both exhibitions
will welcome about thirty thousand people between Tuesday
and Saturday, among them at least twelve thousand registered
professionals.
