In
the east, war planes launched air strikes on the rebel held
oil terminal town of Ras Lanuf
Forces
loyal to Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi have launched
further air strikes on the rebel-held oil port of Ras Lanuf,
in a renewed offensive.
The rebels are determined to eliminate the capacity of Colonel
Muammar Gaddafi. Libyan soldiers already joined the rebellious
forces, and the first images show us that the Libyan rebel
forces use captured armoured vehicles and heavy armament.

The Secretary General of the Organisation of the Islamic
Conference, Ekemeleddin Ihsanoglu, has added his backing
to the idea of imposing a no-fly-zone over Libya. The Arab
Gulf states have already called on the United Nations' Security
Council to protect the civilian population in Libya, and
Britain and France have been working on a draft UN resolution
authorising a no-fly-zone.
According to local information, Libyan President would have
proposed to the rebels a meeting to negotiate his departure,
those would have refused. In the current situation, and
with the actions which could be taken against Colonel Muammar
Gaddafi, it would be suicidal to leave him the least chance.
One can imagine the actions of reprisals which Colonel Muammar
Gaddafi could implement from any part of the world.
