The VBCI (vehicule de combat d'infanterie) is a wheeled 8×8 infantry fighting vehicle with modular protection that can be adapted to the threat. The VBCI infantry armoured fighting vehicle version has a combat weight of 26t and accommodates the two crew, the gunner, the driver and a combat team of eight troops and a commander.

Two versions of the vehicle are currently under production the VBCI armoured vehicle infantry carrier, equipped with a one manned turret armed with a GIAT 25mm M811 dual feed cannon and 7.62mm coaxial machine gun. The VBCI is also available in mortar and Eryx (short-range, anti-tank missile system) variants.

The VPC command vehicle is the second version of the VBCI range. The VPC command vehicle is equipped with an FN Herstal Arrows-300 remote controlled weapon station armed with an 12.7mm machine gun.

At BRIDEX 2011, Nexter Systems presents also its remote-controlled naval gun mount known as NARWHAL (NAval Remote Weapon, Highly Accurate, Lightweight).

This system is particularly designed for use in light ships with very high manoeuvrability for monitoring and close-in combat actions but may also be suitable for heavier tonnage ships. The effectiveness of the weapon is optimised by a stabilised sight associated with a fire-control system, while improving the operator's safety.
