Russia
put in exploitation a new alert radar against missiles at
Kaliningrad (western) and builds another one in Irkoutsk
(Siberia), announced this January 27th, 2011 in Moscow the
commander of the Russian space Troops, Oleg Ostapenko.

“We continue the construction of the radars in
accordance with the established calendar”, the radar
of Kaliningrad being already operational “although
the construction work is not completed yet”, said
the commander to the journalists.
Another radar is in building site in Irkutsk. An to this
place everything is on the way without any problems.”,
added Oleg Ostapenko.
