“At the present, we create prototypes and test
some systems and equipment. Technical innovations making
it possible to modernize our anti-missile defense system
and to create new elements of them are tested during the
annual military tests on the firing polygon of Sary-Chagan,
to Kazakhstan”, indicated the commander to the journalists.
Intervening Wednesday on the Council of the Federation
(Upper House of the Russian Parliament), the Russian Defense
Minister Anatoli Serdioukov indicated that Russia continued
to develop its own anti-missile shield. He thus answered
the question of knowing which steps would undertake Moscow
in the event of non respect of the new Treaty of reduction
of the offensive strategic weapons (START) by Washington.
