“At the present, we create prototypes and test some systems and equipment. Technical innovations making it possible to modernize our anti-missile defense system and to create new elements of them are tested during the annual military tests on the firing polygon of Sary-Chagan, to Kazakhstan”, indicated the commander to the journalists.

Intervening Wednesday on the Council of the Federation (Upper House of the Russian Parliament), the Russian Defense Minister Anatoli Serdioukov indicated that Russia continued to develop its own anti-missile shield. He thus answered the question of knowing which steps would undertake Moscow in the event of non respect of the new Treaty of reduction of the offensive strategic weapons (START) by Washington.
