than 100 military vehicles and 20,000 soldiers for the Victory
Day parade 2011 in Moscow. |

More
than 100 military vehicles and 20,000 soldiers at the military
parade dedicated to the 66th anniversary of the Soviet victory
in the 1941-45 Great Patriotic War against Nazi Germany,
which will be held May 09, 2011 at 10:00 AM local time in
Moscow, Russia.

According
to the Russian Defense Ministry, this year's parade will
involve about 20,000 servicemen and cadets. Two hundred
elite officers from Russia’s Space Forces will march
on Red Square for the first time in the history of Moscow
victory parades.
The military parade will also involve over 100 pieces of
military hardware, as the tactical ballistic missile
Iskander-M and Topol-M,
air defense missile system S-400
and Buk-M2, multiple rocket launcher system BM-30
Smerch, light wheeled armoured vehicle Tigr,
BTR-80 wheeled armoured vehicle personnel carrier, T-90
main battle tank and self-propelled howitzer 2S-19
MSTA-S. will culminate with a flyover by a group of
five Mi-8 multirole helicopters carrying Russian state and
military flags.
