BAE Land Systems South Africa will launch two new products at AAD 2012 defence exhibition. | |||
Defence,
aerospace and security company Land Systems South Africa, which is 75%-owned
by global security and defence company BAE Systems, will launch two new
products at the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) 2012 exhibition which
will be held from the 19 to 23 September 2012 in Pretoria, South Africa. (Source Engineering News) |

For more than three decades, Land Systems South Africa has been the globally recognized leader in the design, development and manufacture of combat and operationally-proven mine protected armored vehicles. |

.“Our
products have been in service for decades and we continue to maintain
our in-service fleets locally and globally. From a landward perspective,
one of the latest systems we are manufacturing is a multipurpose vehicle,
in which mine-resistant ambush- protected (MRAP) type protection is combined
with tactical mobility and real multipurpose application that improves
volume, payload and power supply,” says Land Systems South Africa
communications director Natasha Pheiffer. Land
Systems South Africa’s mine and improvised explosive-device protected
vehicles and wheeled armoured vehicles manufacturing division, OMC, designs,
develops and manufactures vehicles that account for the majority of the
armoured vehicle fleets of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF)
and the South African Police Service. |
