Belgian ministry of defense entered an urgent list for military equipment and weapons systems. | |||

Defence Minister Pieter De Crem has put on his list of “urgent new
programs” the purchase of AFAB-MR (anti-fortification and anti-armored
vehicle) medium-range missile systems (up to 2,500 meters) to replace
its Milan weapon system and two coastal patrol ships. |

Other
urgent priorities include buying 111 short-range (up to a few hundred
meters) anti-fortification and anti-armored vehicle missile systems with
night vision and 238 projectiles; a personal defense weapon to replace
the 9mm GP pistol that dates to the 1950s; and replacing fire service
vehicles for the Air Force. These
