During the solemn celebration of Rocket Forces and Artillery Day Monday, December 10, 2012, in Torun, the representatives of Bumar Group are to present the modernization’s directions of the LIWIEC Radar for Artillery Reconnaissance and possibilities of entering it into the system of command and recognition of rocket forces and artillery, and prospects of the acquisition of new precision-guided 155 mm caliber ammunition for the newly introduced firing module. Bumar Group’s institutions are the leaders in the field of finding innovative solutions concerning precision-guided ammunition and modern radiolocation systems for rocket forces and artillery.

This year’s celebrations will be of great importance due to obtaining by Polish Armed Forces the first firing module of 155 mm caliber KRAB self-propelled howitzer. The works on the first KRAB self-propelled howitzer were initiated between June and September 2000, when HSW (Huta Stalowa Wola) signed the contract with OBRUM (Bumar Group) for delivering the chassis for the 155 mm caliber cannon-turret, designed on the basis of British license.
