year, Russia will deliver to India military equipment and weapons for
an amount of approximately $ 7.7 billion, representing more than 60% of
Russian armament exports and 80% of Indian imports of weapons. ",
indicates the press release posted on the website of TSAMTO. Russia
also plans to deliver to India about 40 Mi-17V-5, 33 Su-30MKI fighters
and nine naval MiG-29K/KUB. According
to the Centre TSAMTO from 2002 to 2011, the Indian imports of armaments
have reached 25.65 billion dollars. Experts estimate that they will double
between 2012 and 2016. |
