The decision to produce an armored vehicle designed and manufactured in Mexico was taken to reduce the cost of acquisition, maintenance and repair. At the moment, the new armoured vehicle DN-XI will be manufactured only for the needs of the Army and Security forces of Mexico. The DN-XI armoured vehicle will be produced in the new facility run by the army's General Directorate for Military Industries in Mexico City. The

specifically to Mexican army requirements.
The vehicle is equipped with an open-top turret armed with 40mm automatic
grenade launcher or a 7.62 mm or 12.7mm machine gun. |
