At Eurosatory 2012 International Defence & Security Exhibition, the French Company NBC Sys presents its CBRN modules MEERKAT for light combat vehicles the new quick response against Chemical, Biological threats. NBC Sys is a worldwide leader for design and manufacturing of CBRN (Nuclear, Radiological, Biological or Chemical) equipment and solutions.

During the live demonstration at Eurosatory 2012, the MEERKAT of NBC Sys was mounted to the rear of a light vehicle Quad Polaris 6x6. The MEERKAT can be integrated quickly in less than 15 min on different kinds of light vehicles as ATV, Quad 6x6 or 4x4, Pick-up and more.

The MEERKAT is a new CBRN support solution for armed and security forces which can be used in the context of peacekeeping and combat operations in urban areas. Today armed forces are only equipped with heavy equipment and vehicle to perform large-scale operations, but not light mobility and rapid response vehicle.

With the MEERKAT the French company NBC-Sys provides a complete decontamination solution able to respond quickly against localized chemical attack or CBRN terrorism threats in urban or industrial areas.

Different modules are available for the MEERKAT for CBRN reconnaissance missions, chemical or biological decontamination.

CBRN RECONNAISSANCE:
This module allows you to
- Achieve a detection of alert R, B or C in an urban area contaminated,
- Send an alarm message in real time to a command post.
- Centralize weather and CPS datas
- Self powered, removable for using as a warning beacon detection system

CHEMICAL DECONTAMINATION:
This module allows you to
- Decontaminate vehicles, equipement, personnal and terrain.
- Pulverize different decon solutions (acqueous or foam) at low pressure and realize cleaning and rmcing phases at high pressure (90 bars).
- Decon capacity 1 vehicle and 5 to 6 persons with CBRN suits Water tank 2001, self-powered

BIOLOGICAL DECONTAMINATION
This module uses a VHP (Vapour Hydrogen Peroxyde) decontamination chamber technology-based Self powered, removable, it is ideally suited for the decontamination of warning beacons detection systems for biological agents.

SAMPLING
This module allows you to
- Taking Biological and Chemical samples in the air. liquids, soil .
- Transport this samples to an official laboratory to establish the proof of presence of chemical or biological threats.
- Respect AEP10 (NATO sampling procedure).
- Record CPS and weather conditions In the contaminated area
