British Company OVIK Special Vehicles launches its new STAGG multi-role armoured vehicle.
Following successes with various platforms such as the PANGOLIN Armoured Public Order Vehicle for the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the CAMELEON Multi-Mission Vehicle, OVIK embarked upon a strategy to design and build a complete, new, multi-role vehicle - from the ground up. The result is STAGG - A versatile 4x4 and 6x6 multi-role vehicle available in either the URBAN or GP (General Purpose) styles and in multiple body formats including armoured, semi-armoured, soft skinned and lightweight.

Designed specifically to meet the demands of a range of specialist requirements STAGG can be re-roled and re-configured both internally and externally to deliver capability across a broad operational and threat spectrum – from secure movement of civilian or military personnel to Counter-Terrorist operations; from building assault and public order operations to armed response duties and the provision of effective all-terrain logistics.

Based upon OVIK’s unique, ultra-strong chassis and utilising commercially available componentry, STAGG sets the new standard in cost effective, reliable multi-role vehicles.

STAGG is available in two distinctive styles and a range of variants. The STAGG URBAN - Optimised for fast on-road use and the STAGG GP - Optimsed for off road operations.

The armoured variant of STAGG is designed as a purely armoured vehicle; there are none of the characteristic compromises common on more traditional 'up-armoured' proprietary vehicles (such as armoured Land Rovers or Land Cruisers). When up-armouring proprietary vehicles the armour designer needs to work round the original manufacturer's body and chassis structure which creates a great deal of complexity in armouring and inevitably leads to compromises in ballistic integrity, increased cost and unnecessary weight implications. STAGG's simple, elegant armoured COR-TEX negates the need to work around an original vehicle's architecture. The OVIK COR-TEX provides the ultimate protection to weight solution.

A range of specialist add-on capabilities have been designed for STAGG - including specialist assault platform, public-order body equipment, internal ambulance fit-out, weapon mounting options etc. - Making STAGG a uniquely versatile and cost-effective solution.
