During the tests, vehicles showed excellent mobility in off-road conditions with maximum comfort. On the road, we were also able to reach a top speed of 110 km/h thanks to a 6-Cylinder Turbo-Diesel Cummins engine.

The Paramount Group, Africa's largest privately owned defence and aerospace Company is recognised for its innovative products including armoured personnel carrier vehicles such as the Marauder and the Matador.

The Matador was launched in 2007, it is a mine-protected vehicle incorporating a double-skin monocoque and V-shaped hull which provides a protection against mines to greater than STANAG Level 4. The Matador can be configured for a wide range of missions such as utility transport, personnel carrier, ambulance or command post.

The Matador can be fitted with a weapon system. Depending on the mission requirements Matador's weapon fit can range from 7.62mm machine gun on a simple pintle mount right up to a 20 mm fully automatic cannon in armoured turret, with two-dimensional stabilisation and a true all weather, night-fighting capability.
