Over two years of activity of commercial services of
Bumar sp. z o.o. in the Peruvian market resulted in Bumar’s taking
part in a tender for short and medium range Anti-aircraft Defence System
for the Air Force of the Republic of Peru. The initial inquiry of the
customer was sent to more than 20 companies from around the world. Russian
Rosoboronexport and the Chinese took part in the tender. Bumar offered

The
future anti-aircraft system of Peru, apart from the Polish missile sets,
will include 3 AN/TPS-78 early warning radars with a range of 450 km,
manufactured by the US company of Northrop Grumman, as well as Spyder
SR and Python 5 Derby short and medium range missile batteries, produced
by the Israeli company of Rafael. Participation in the project alongside such magnates as Rafael and Northrop Grumman Corp., which is 2nd in the world rank of the largest manufacturers of armaments after Lockheed Martin, automatically positions Bumar as a resilient and reliable company, which is an equal partner to the largest weapons manufacturers in the world. “Participation in that project – through its importance to the Armed Forces of Peru – gives us opportunities in other projects in the area of supply of arms. We are going to benefit from our participation in the Peruvian market as much as we can” – President of Bumar, Mr. Edward E. Nowak commented on the success. It is another large and prestigious export contract of the National Defence Concern for the supply of arms, which Bumar received in recent months. The complete system is to be delivered to the Peruvian Armed Forces within a maximum of 24 months from the date of signing the contract. |
