The KERAX family of militarized rigid and tractor trucks is based on commercial vehicles which are adapted to the specific needs of armed forces. They benefit from the low lifecycle costs of commercial vehicles and are ideally suited for logistic missions with huge payloads capacities and a large range of bodies: cargo, troop transport, fuel/water tanks, dump, load handling system (LHS), shelters, recovery system, and weapon systems carrier. This medium- and heavy truck range includes 4x4 version with 9.6 t payload capacity, 6x6 version with 14.6 t payload capacity and 8x8 version with 20 - 26 t payload capacity. Production of improved version of the Kerax commenced in 2006. Currently this military truck is in service with France and Belgium. Chad and Egypt also ordered a small number of these trucks. More than 900 of these military trucks were built to date. France operates about 400 of these vehicles. The SHERPA LIGHT family of 4x4 tactical and light armoured vehicles is designed to provide light forces (infantry, paratroopers, marines, internal security...) with the best mobility/payload compromise of its category. In addition to its outstanding on and off- road performances, the SHERPA LIGHT is fully air transportable (A400M/C-130), multirole and ready for being up-armoured (ballistic and mine kits). The SHERPA LIGHT has already been adopted by NATO, France and other countries. The Sherpa Light « Special Forces » is ideally suited for tactical missions such as long range patrols. It is also adapted to the specific needs of special forces: 5 seats, open top and folding windscreen, supports for machineguns... |
