Russian electronic warfare units of airborne troops received 4 vehicles of the newest wheeled armoured vehicle for reconnaissance and jamming “Infauna”. Specialists of Russian airborne and amphibious troops began training with the vehicle. |

There
is no foreign equivalent of the “Infauna”. This vehicle uses
unique technology features which can significantly improve the protection
of troops, armored vehicles, combat personnel against land mines and improvised
explosive devices, and to provide enemy communications jamming. The “Infauna”
is based on the wheeled armoured vehicle personnel carrier BTR-70. |
