Russian artillery unit of Southern Military Region receives 10 Khrizantema-S anti-tank vehicles 2511.

The Russian army is on the way to increase its modernization with new anti-tank missile systems. Personnel of Khrizantema-S tank manufacturer provide the training and help the Russian military personnel with technical information.

The Khrizantema anti-tank missile was first unveiled in July 1996 by the Konstruktorskoye Byuro Mashynostroyenia (KBM) Engineering Design Bureau. The anti-tank missile system is mounted on the chassis of BMP-3 tracked armoured infantry fighting vehicle.

The BMP-3 Khrizantema-S system is designed to engage existing and future tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, lightly armored targets, engineer structures, fire emplacements, boats, low-flying low-speed aircraft, and manpower in shelters and on open terrain in any weather, by day and night, at battle field obscurants.

The Khrizantema-S uses the 9M123 missile, flying at an average speed of 400 m/s or Mach 1.2 and a range of between 400 and 6000 meters. Propulsion is by way of a single solid fuel rocket motor with two exhausts on either side of the missile.
