Angola will host for the first time Fair of Defense and Security Industry FIDES in November 2013.
Angola will hold the International Fair of Defense and Security Industry ,Fides, from November 10 to 13 as a development factor for this African country, affirmed a government source said, August 19, 2013. The Minister of National Defence, Candido Pereira Van Dúnem, said that the exhibition event is part of the efforts of the Angolan government to gradually reduce imports in the defense industry and create more jobs for native labor.

Van Dunem said at the official presentation ceremony of the Fair that the armed forces of the African country will present products, services and technological solutions from November this year, with impact on the defense and security industry.

He insisted that those initiatives will contribute, as platform, to strengthen economic and commercial ties with other countries.

According to Fides organizers, the event will take place at the headquarters of the International Fair of Luanda, will become the favorable framework for exchange of experiences between national and foreign companies.

The fair, organized under the slogan "Peace, Security and Development", will feature about 100 exhibitors from 27 countries, according to the plan.
