Integrated Systems and Enhanced Situational Awareness Supporting our Army aviators, Elbit Systems of America will present the family of Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays (AMLCD), Mission Processors and the latest design in Large Area Displays (LAD). Revolutionizing the functionality of cockpits, the LAD is a panoramic high-definition display measuring up to 22”. The LAD provides integrated high performance flight and mission graphics on a wider, slimmer, single screen. AUSA visitors to the Elbit Systems of America booth may also examine the Integrated Helmet & Display Sight System-21 (IHADSS-21) and participate in a cockpit demonstration which includes a Helmet Display and Tracker System with Degraded Visual Environment symbology. Elbit System of America provides enhanced situational awareness for the Army Aviation fleet with increased reliability and maintainability as well as integrated system solutions for advanced cockpit upgrades. Elbit Systems of America’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) division will focus on the Skylark® I-LE Block II. SkylarkI LE Block II is based on the operationally-proven Skylark I UAS, currently used by many coalition partners. The Skylark I- LE Block II version increases the system’s operational range up to 10 miles and the endurance to approximately 3 hours. The system also features a unique gyroscopic-stabilized, gimbaled payload optimally integrated with algorithms derived from the larger Hermes® 450 UAS to enable auto-tracking of dynamic targets. A hand-launched unit, the Skylark I-LE UAS combines the characteristics normally reserved for larger UAS within the form-factor of a man-portable system. |

Targeting
& Communication Systems
Providing a range of fielded laser designators, from the Solider on the ground to attack helicopters to AC130 gunships, Elbit Systems of America’s presentations highlight solutions for warfighters and ground combat vehicles. The Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Laser Target Designator (LTD) provides laser marking and designation for foot mobile soldiers while the Granite XR provides extended, long range reconnaissance surveillance and target acquisition. Also on display will be the Remote Weapon Station, Long Range Thermal Imager (LRTI), Micro Designator Marker, and TALOS. TALOS is unattended, low-cost ground radar providing real-time detection and tracking of humans and vehicles within a monitored area. Elbit Systems of America provides high performance computing and communications products and capabilities including High Power Amplifiers (HPA), networking radios, intercoms, and data modems. Featured at AUSA this year are a line of Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) compatible amplifiers that include the newest Dual Avionics HPA, Dual SINCGARS HPA, and wideband amplifiers of reduced Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) consumption. The Improved Data Modem (IDM) line also consists of very small, lightweight Universal and Personal Computer Improved Data Modem (UIDM/PCIDM) models. Both the UIDM and PCIDM provide an interface directly from a personal computer to a radio where data can now be transmitted using a tactical radio relay. |
