At DSEI 2013, EXPAL presents its latest products and services among its four main lines of activity: weapons systems, ammunition and energetic products, technological systems and applications, maintenance and integrated logistics support, both for military vehicles and aircraft systems , as well as demilitarization and EOD services. |

The company has on display the Fire Support Information System TECHFIRE, and the bird shape micro-UAV SHEPHERD-MIL, both integrated into EXPAL mortar system, EIMOS. Within the area of ammunition and energetic products, EXPAL highlights its wide range of fuzes, including the new electronic time artillery fuzes EC102 and EC103, for artillery projectiles, which provides a higher performance and safety. Also in this area of activity and thanks to the company experience and know-how in the development and manufacturing of propellants, EXPAL will present its capabilities in motor grains regraining for missiles and launchers in short and medium range, providing a better performance of the current resources. Other
developments such as SAZEC, a highly effective zone protection system
with versatile structure and flexible adaptation on the ground; and eTRAIDS,
the set of tools and electronic applications dedicated to teaching and
training defence systems and ammunition, will be show by EXPAL in its
booth. Expal's bird shaped UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). EXPAL`s SHEPHERD-MIL is an autonomous aerial reconnaissance device in the shape of a bird, silent and discreet, which incorporates two Day/Night cameras and allows automatic take-off and landing, as well as avigation guided by “waypoints”. SHEPHERD-MIL is integrated into the fire support information system TECHFIRE of EXPAL, as a complement of the Forward Observer (FO). Its
flying capacity, unobtrusive and silent, together with the possibility
of equipping it with cameras and geo-location software, allows the application
of SHEPHERD-MIL in surveillance and security missions. It is a perfect
system for land and maritime border controls, operations against anti-drug
operations or intelligence services. |
