The system is composed of 6 main subsystems: Lauchers, Arrow-2 interceptor, Arrow-3 interceptors, FCR (Fire Control Radar), FCC (Fire Control Center) and LCC (Launch Control Center). The FCR is using a L-Band phased array radar capable of tracking multiple targets.

The difference between Arow-2 and -3 lies in the range, the Arrow-3 has a larger defense area. Both missiles have a TVC and 2 solid propulsion stages (booster and sustainer). Israel depleted the system in 2000 to protect it national territory. The system is in competition with MBDA SAMP/T and Lockheed Martin lead MEADS system.
