KMW-Rheinmetall AMPV at MSPO International Defence Industry Exhibition.
Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall jointly developed their new Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) with the aim of building an higly mobile and protective platform. Oriented by the German Bundeswehr's mission spectrum, the AMPV family features a robust chassis with independent wheel suspension, long spring excursion and high ground clearance.
     
At MSPO 2013, International Defense Exhibition in Poland, Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Rheinmetall show their jointly developed Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) An higly mobile and protective platform. The Armoured Multi-Purpose Vehicle at MSPO 2013.
     

With a turning radius of 15m and a 200kW engine output, AMPV performs superbly in all conditions. The vehicle can carry 4 people and has an empty weight of 7.3 tons for a maximum speed of 110km/h on roads. The operating range of the vehicle is 700km according to KMW-Rheinmetall.

The AMPV can also be used as a command center and is intended to be used by both military and security forces. A turret can mounted on the top of the vehicle.
