MASS Cyber Training Counters Increasing Threats at DSEI 2013.
MASS, a Cohort plc company, is responding to the increasing threat of cyber attacks by offering original, highly-focussed and relevant cyber security training to both the public and private sectors.

United Kingdom, London at DSEI 2013, Elbit Systems Ltd. announced today the launch of ELSAT 2000E, a new member of the MSR-2000 terminal family featuring vehicular, airborne and maritime Satellite-On-The-Move (SOTM) antennas.

Cyber attacks are increasingly sophisticated and those under threat must take a multi-layered approach, which includes training, to help reduce the risk. These include damage to reputation and the resultant financial impact, as well as penalties from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). In August alone, the ICO has handed out fines totalling £240,000 to two councils and a banking organisation. The cyber security training offered by MASS, alongside our free cyber health check, provides a potent deterrent to the rising threat faced by businesses and government from cyber attacks.

At MASS we use specialist, Government accredited Information Assurance (IA) consultants, who are highly experienced and have current operational cyber experience, to deliver our cyber security training. The consultants are approved under the Government’s Communications Electronics Security Group’s (CESG) Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS). Our training can be provided at our modern, purpose-built training facility in Lincoln or, if preferred, at a customer’s location.

Ashley Lane, Managing Director of MASS, said “We have been delivering and supporting classified and secure networks for over 20 years. We see the increase in the sophistication and breadth of cyber attacks; they are no longer just aimed at government departments or defence companies. It is so important for any organisation to protect its data and intellectual property, and we are committed to the provision of robust IA advice and training.”
