Nexter Robotics presents its new robot NERVA S at DSEI 2013.

At DSEI 2013, Nexter Robotics, the subsidiary of Nexter group fully dedicated to unmanned military systems, introduces NERVA S, a smaller product than the NERVA LG robot, dedicated to observation. With NERVA S, Nexter Robotics expands its range of products towards ultra-low cost robots, while continuing to offer the same level of operational robustness and ease of use on the field.

United Kingdom, London. At DSEI 2013, Nexter Robotics of France presented the mini-drone NERVA S (shoter version of the Nerva LG) and announces the commercial launch of the NERVA LG.

NERVA S product which expands its range of products towards ultra low cost robots, while continuing to offer the same level of operational robustness and ease of use on the field. NERVA S is dedicated to observation and can be operated from the same control stations as NERVA LG.

Nexter Robotics also announces commercial launch of its NERVA® LG robotic system. The product is the result of an iterative approach which closely combines operational tests and technical adjustments. This guarantees NERVA® LG perfectly meets operational expectations, while offering the best of mature technology at very low cost. Thus, beyond its extreme robustness (throwable, fully waterproof, …), NERVA® LG can be easily controlled from any standard PC, Tablet or Smartphone; it proposes semi-autonomous capabilities to reduce operator’s workload, such as waypoint navigation or automatic back homing when mission is completed.

The NERVA® LG platform can be equipped with a large set of standard or dedicated payloads: For example, the reconnaissance version is proposed with thermal infrared camera (8-12µ), panoramic day vision (360°) and general interconnection block (Ethernet, USB, video,…) to equip the robotic platform with any equipment compliant with these widely available standards.
