Nexter
and WZM, present the JACKAL 2. This 4x4 light armored vehicle is a variant
of the Nexter ARAVIS. This vehicle is an answer to the "Pegasus"
RFI emitted by the Polish Ministry of Defence to replace its BRDM2 4x4
vehicle. Nexter is in discussion with WZM to produce localy the Jackal
2. The name Jackal 2 has been given by the company to echo the BRDM name
"Jackal". |

| The"SZAKAL 2" or Jackal has been designed to protect its crew from ballistic missile attacks, land mines, improvised explosive devices or splinters. Light Armoured Carries 4x4 "SZAKAL 2" is to be used in exceptionally dangerous areas. It proves to be indispensable at patrols as well as a direct fire support vehicle, a support and safeguard vehicle for engineering unit transports or as a part of a convoy. Still based on the Mercedes-UNIMOG chassis the 13 tons vehicle provides a high level of protection superior to NATO level 4 standard. The Jackal 2 is declined in multiples variants depending on the equipment chosen: -
