At DSEI 2013, Renault Trucks Defense showcases its The Sherpa Light APC « XL »; Used for deploying a team of 10 officers into a hostile situation or establishing an armored mobile command center. It is also able to receive any mission or weapon system thanks to a large internal volume. |

This new version has four lateral doors compared to the Sherpa APC. It has a maximum speed of 110km/h and and a maximum range of 800km. Protections against mines and further armor can be added as well as sirens and assault ramps for security forces. Weighting between 11 and 16t for an approximative 2.5t payload the XL version is targeting security forces thanks to its wider internal space. The 11m3 back is ideal to transport fully equiped police forces (shield, helmet...). |
