At IDET
2013, the defence exhibition currently held in Brno, Czech Republic, Czech
Company RETIA unveils for the first time a new short range radar system.
Short range radar ReVISOR is a basic radar sensor for battlefield airspace
survey. |

ReVISOR
detects, identifies and tracks air targets with high accuracy and data
refresh rate. ReVISOR supports advanced SHORAD/ VSHORAD systems in their
efforts to effectively destroy means of air attacks. ReVISOR detects air targets, automatically evaluates and transmits information through a data network. The radar is able to work in the presence of high ground and volume clutters as well as in heavy active and passive jamming conditions. The radar architecture allows concentration of sufficient resources in detecting and tracking of low-flying targets and targets with a small radar cross section. Full 360° azimuth coverage is provided by a rotation of the radar head. The flat face antenna array consists of vertical columns of horn radiators. These radiators are fed by a vertical feed network, which produces a cosecant square pattern. A parallel arrangement of the vertical columns fed by a horizontal feed network produces a narrow fan beam with very low side lobes in horizontal plane. The system is fully coherent, and fitted with a modern TWT transmitter and solid state digital receiver. |

The signal
processing unit suppress clutter, performs detection and target coordinates
extraction and classification. The detachable Operator's Workstation (OWS) displays air picture and diagnostic information. Radar control is performed through an intuitive graphical user interface. The ReVISOR is designed to support modern SHORAD/VSHORAD systems, and for this purpose is equipped with a Communication Module and Command and Control (C2) Module. The ReVISOR can simultaneously transfer air picture data in real time to the superior Command Control Post (CCP) and to the subordinated Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) weapon systems that can be effectively managed through the ReVISOR Commander's Workstation (CWS). |
