The new Tigr-M GAZ-233114 multipurpose 4x4 armoured will enter in service with Russian army.
The Tigr-M GAZ-233114 4x4 multipurpose armoured vehicle will enter in service with the Russian army during the first half of 2013, said the spokesman of the military-industrial Company (VPK) Sergei Suvorov. All tests on the vehicle were achieved by the Russian Ministry of Defense, and at the request of the Russian army, the manufacturer improved its ability to have more protection against land mines.

The Tigr-M GAZ-233114 was showed during Engineering Technologies 2012, defence exhibition in Moscow, Russia.
     

"It is expected that the Tiger-M, an improved version of Tiger armored vehicle, will be officially adopted by the Russian army during the first half of 2013," said the spokesman.

According to Sergei Suvorov, mass production, including the export version had already been launched. The Tigrm-M is already in service in Brazil, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Guinea and Uruguay.

Able to carry up to 10 fully equipped infantrymen, the wheeled armoured vehicle Tiger-M has a combat weight of 5300 kg and offers payload capacity of 1,500 kg. The vehicle can run at a maximum road speed from 125 to 140 km/h. The armour and the NBC protection system against nuclear, chemical and biological threats of Tiger-M have been strengthened compared to the previous version.
