Russian army will receive two of three new regiments of S-400 defense missile systems every year.
Beginning with 2014, the Russian army will receive at least two or three sets of regimental units of S-400 systems every year, general director of Almaz -Antey design bureau, Vitaly Neskorodov said.

Today , the Russian army has five regiments of S-400 (two in Moscow, one in the Pacific Fleet, one in the Baltic Fleet and in the Southern Military District).

"Two regimental units will be delivered to the Armed Forces this year. According to documents, we make two or three regimental units a year. Next year, the production will continue to grow," said Neskorodov.

The first regiment equipped with S-400 systems was passed into service in 2007 in the town Elektrougli, the Moscow region.

The S-400 is a ground-to-air defense missile system of new generation, designed to defeat all current and future means of air and space attack as fighter aircraft and cruise missiles.
