receives an new order for components of Carl-Gustaf man-portable weapon

and security company Saab has signed a contract on deliveries of components
for the Carl-Gustaf man-portable weapon system. |

The order has a total value of SEK 434 million and comprises components for ammunition to the latest version of the Carl-Gustaf system, a modern ground support weapon system. The contract also includes an option for additional orders with a total value of SEK 114 million. “Carl-Gustaf is a world leading system and a key component of armed forces throughout the world. With each new model the demand for the system increases in many strategic markets. The Carl-Gustaf system has been sold to over 40 countries,” says Görgen Johansson, Head of Saab’s business area Dynamics. The
Carl-Gustaf system is a highly modern Ground Support weapon system with
a long and successful history. The system has successively been modernised
and adapted to meet new requirements. With the latest version Carl-Gustaf
M3, Saab offer state-of-the-art capability for customers demanding high
operational reliability in all conflict situations. |
