Thai army takes delivery of the first five Ukrainian made T-84 Oplot main battle tanks 2010132.

"The first batch of five Oplot main battle tanks, produced for the Kingdom of Thailand, was presented at the Malyshev Plant state enterprise on October 15, 2013.

Ukrainian State Company for Export and Import of Military and Special Products and Services (Ukrspetseksport), which is a part of the Ukroboronprom state concern, intends to supply 49 T-84 Oplot tanks to Thailand.

The Oplot tank is base on the T-884 and features a new welded turret with separate crew and ammunition compartments with blowout panels on the ammunition compartment, a new bustle-mounted autoloader.

The main armament of T-84 Oplot comprises a stabilised 125mm KBA3 smoothbore gun fed by a carousel-type automatic loader and fitted with a thermal sleeve and fume extractor (bore evacuator). Second armament of the the Oplot includes a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun and 12.7mm anti-aicraft machine gun.
