At
IDEX 2013, Ukraine defence Industry is represented by the ‘Ukroboronprom'
State Concern and ‘Ukrspecexport' State Company. This year, Ukraine
unveils its new 8x8 APC (Armoured vehicle Personnel Carrier) BTR-4MV.
Traditionally, Ukraine participates in the International Defence Exhibition
and Conference 'IDEX' in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in order to demonstrate technological
capabilities and to strengthen its position on global arms markets during
this important international specialized event. |

The
BTR-4MV is designed in accordance with NATO standards. BTR-4MV has improved
hull design, reinforced body armor and provides for infantry's safe mount/dismount.
It has German engine and American automatic transmission. The BTR-4MV APC can be fitted with Ukrainian ‘3TD' or Italian ‘Iveco' engines. BTR-4MV is armed with the Ukrainian-manufactured ‘Parus' (Sail) remote weapon station which holds 30 mm ZTM-1 cannon, 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, 30 mm AG-17 automatic grenade launcher and ‘Barrier' anti-tank missile system. In experts' prior assessments, BTR-4MV is one of the most advanced and promising modern armored vehicles in its class. The Ukrainian exhibition areas (indoor 12-B06 and CP-420 outdoor) also include other competitive Ukrainian defense enterprises' products which might be of interest to a wide range of potential customers. For many years, Ukraine has been one of the world leaders in developing of transport and passenger aircraft, armored vehicles, missile and space systems, ships of various classes as well as electronic systems. |
