Czech Company VOP presents new UGV demonstrator TAROS 6x6 Furbo at IDET 2013.

At IDET 2013, the Czech Defence Company VOP CZ, s.p. which is specialized in the field of military equipment, engineering production and development presents a new concept of UGV Unmanned Ground Vehicle, the TAROS 6x6. The goal is to provide an autonomous system that can be used to protect critical areas without any human intervention.

The goal is to provide an autonomous system that can be used to protect critical areas without any human intervention.
The UGV demonstrator TAROS 6x6 Furbo at IDET 2013, defence exhibition in Czech Republic.
     

The TAROS 6x6 Furbo is a functional demonstrator of the ground automated robot system with a high level of automation and a wide range of processes, including automatic navigati- on and activities in urban or open field.

The vehicle is based on 6x6 chassis designed and developed by VOP.

This vehicle is designed for combat and logistic support to Mechanized, Reconnaissance and Special Forces operating in complex environments The TAROS 6x6 Furbo is able to take over and fulfill many of the transport, fighting or reconnaissance tasks in a high-risk environment.

The product is designed in a modular way with the possibility of upgrading components from a wide range of accessories, from weapons, robotics or system sensors

This project is the result of the research done by the Oefense University in Brno and the company VOP CZ, s p.
