The BMS-MIRA 42 low cost solution for monitoring and surveillance for border units and police.

The Czech Company EVPU Defence presents BMS-MIRA 42, a low cost solution for monitoring and surveillance which can be easily and quickly integrated on standard vehicle. EVPU Defence was founded in 2001, the Company is a member of the Defence and security Industry Association of Czech Republic and is certified with ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110 certificates.

One of the main activities of the company is the development, design, production of special monitoring and surveillance vehicles equipped with TV, infrared and optical sensors and laser rangefinders.

At IDEB 2014, EVPU Defence presents the BMS-MIRA 42, a mobile monitoring and surveillance system which could be used especially for monitoring and surveillance of interest areas such as boundary lines, airports, coastal areas and other areas with increased demands for flexible protection against penetration of intruders during day or/and night time.

System could be implemented in any type of vehicle, which has enough external and internal space for installation.

Based configuration comprise Pan/Tilts, sensor container with uncooled IR camera, daylight CCD TV camera and as optional laser range finder, operators console and power supply pack.

The BMS-MIRA 42 has a detection range of 4,200 m for man and man recognition range of 1,300 m. The whole system can rotate on 360° with an elevation of 28° maxim. The optical system is mounted on a standard container which has a maximum weight of 65 kg and a maximum length of 1,4m.

The daylight CCD TV camera and IR camera are mounted to a container fitted to the top of standard car.
