forces in Djibouti on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, donated military vehicles
and equipment to the Djiboutian contingent expected to join the African
Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), the Djiboutian Information Agency reported. |

Djibouti's Minister of Defence Hassan Darar Houffaneh presided over the donation to the Hill 2 contingent, with French Ambassador to Djibouti René Forceville in attendance. Houffaneh thanked the French forces for their support to Djibouti's efforts to maintain peace and security in the Horn of Africa. Forceville praised Djibouti's role in promoting security in Somalia and the region. In
December 2013, The Djiboutian army (DJAF) has received 26 new Toyota Land
Cruiser 4x4 vehicles purchased with funds from the United States Foreign
Military Financing Programme (FMFP), the Djiboutian Information Agency
