South African Company ICP has sold 12 REVA 4x4 MRAP armoured vehicles to Equatorial Guinea 1803141.

This transaction between South Africa and Equatorial Guinea involved 12 Reva armoured combat vehicles has never been unveiled to the public.

This contract of 12 armored vehicles, included 3 mine protected vehicles Reva III and 8 mine protected vehicles Reva V.

This is a major step forward for transparency on conventional arms sales from South Africa.

The REVA is designed and manufactured by the South African Company ICP. The acronym REVA stands for reliable, effective, versatile and affordable, personifying the clear mission of the vehicle and its designers – to produce a ballistic and blast-protected carrier that ensures the safety of armed forces and other personnel.

The REVA III is a 4x4 armoured vehicle personnel carrier in the category of MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle).

The vehicle’s V-shaped hull offers protection against land mines and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED)s. The vehicle has space to carry a total of 10 soldiers.

The REVA can be fitted with an open top turret mounted on the roof of the crew compartment which can be armed with a 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun.

The REVA V is a bigger version of the REVA III. the seating arrangements making provision for up to 2 + 10 + 2 gunners. This vehicle is available in various configurations to suit the customer’s requirements.
