Lockheed Martin team's JLTV Joint Light Tactical Vehicle has achieved 100,000 testing miles. | |||
The
Lockheed Martin Team’s [NYSE: LMT] Joint
Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) has achieved 100,000 miles
in the government’s Engineering & Manufacturing Development
(EMD) reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) testing. In
August 2013, Lockheed Martin delivered 22 JLTVs to the U.S. Army and Marine
Corps for EMD testing, which will continue through the fall. |
|||
The Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) is a United States military (specifically U.S. Army, USSOCOM, and U.S. Marine Corps) program to replace the Humvee that is currently in service. |
|||
RAM testing involves
a combination of primary on-road, secondary road and rigorous off-road/trail
driving. Since the JLTV
program began in 2007, the Lockheed Martin Team’s JLTVs have compiled
more than a quarter of million miles for all vehicle testing. |
