Massive multi-nation wargames to begin in Poland
The multi-nation military exercise "Anaconda" will begin in Poland on Sept. 24, with the participation of 12,500 soldiers, including 750 from abroad. According to Polish Press Agency (PAP), the equipment to be used include more than 120 armored personnel carriers, 50 rocket launchers, anti-craft sets, 17 vessels, including submarines, and 25 aircraft, including helicopters, fighters, and multi-purpose aircraft.

Exercises will be conducted on land, in water and in the air, including a combined defense operation.

Besides Poland, soldiers attending the exercises will also come from eight countries, namely the Czech Republic, Estonia, the Netherlands, Canada, Lithuania, the United States, Hungary and Britain.

The exercises will last 10 days with a whole cost totalling around 62 million Polish zloty (around 19 million U.S. dollars).

The "Anaconda" exercise is conducted every two years. In the 2012 version, around 11,500 soldiers participated.
